I just finished reading Frankenstein.

WOW. It is absolutely nothing like the limited bits of the story that I've seen played out in the classic horror movie. (Nor, for that matter, is it like the hilarious parody of said movie, Young Frankentein.)

Then again, the book I read before this, Man in the Iron Mask, also bears no resemblance whatsoever to my best recollections of the made-for-TV miniseries.

It just goes to show that if you're studying a classic book, DON'T rely on the movie version of said book for your studies. Read the actual book.
